Developed by the School of Data science and Computational Thinking
with a specialisation on agrisciences and biological sciences

Data Science with Python aims to build capability in data and data science and enable students to work in multiple, data-rich domain areas.

The teaching effort strives to transform the student experience through collaborative learning and challenge participants to apply the methods in real, practical examples.

Develop skills and capabilities in data science and computational thinking.

With an emphasis on the implementation of inferential thinking.

Ideal module for those who have completed their first-level module in mathematics but do not yet have programming skills.

What can you expect to learn?

Develop confidence in analysing large datasets and expand analysis using Python programming

NQF level 7 with 8 credits

Commencing on 18 September 2023

Duration: 6 weeks

  • Undergraduate (elective) module offered in second semester.
  • Students watch, have in person time, and then develop the principles further through case studies and exercises.
